Milton Ochieng MD is a caring and experienced gastroenterologist with more than 15 years of experience. Dr. Ochieng attended medical school at Vanderbilt University. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Ochieng completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Rhode Island Hospital, a part of Brown University. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College. He is double board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and also American Gastroenterological Association. Dr. Ochieng is fluent in English, Dholuo and Swahili. He provides medical care in Spanish and speaks a little bit of French.
Dr. Ochieng received the 2012 United States Peace Corps Director's Award and the Washington University School of Medicine Department of Medicine Achievement Award. He was also the ABC Person of the Week January 30th 2009 and received the 2009 Dartmouth College Martin Luther King Social Justice Award. He is also the 2010 National Medical Association Living Legends Award recipient and the 2009 Johnetta B Cole Institute Trailblazers in Diversity Award. He was named in the Black Enterprise Magazine's Top 40 Next Emerging Business Leaders in September 2010. Dr. Ochieng gives each patient his focused attention, and he prides himself on delivering the best treatment available.
